I did get it running, and I know a lot of people have, but a lot of people haven't as well. Well not quite a million but you get the idea I don't think that's the main reason, I think it's down to the usual with a million people having a million different systems and tweaks. You can't say that mate ? Loads of people have successfully got it running with the cv1. For those more focused on the details related to car dynamics and behavior, there are many things to pick apart that can detract from the experience but, most people should find it a great VR Racing experience. Pcars looks and runs great in VR and is versatile to suit most casual players to semi-serious Sim-Racers wanting a fun and dynamic Racing experience in VR. Pcars also lacks some of the finer nuances of vehicle dynamics that I get from iRacing, AC, rF2 and AMS but, that' my personal opinion / preference and not all of those titles have VR support anyway. It looks great from that point of view but has some issues in regard to certain details that make it feel very arcadey at times, especially in regard to the AI cars behavior. For many, the driving dynamics feel very natural and may offer better versatility with features like Road-car-experiences and Drifting options (far more fun and easier in VR btw).įor overall features, Pcars offers a great variety of cars and tracks in a fully dynamic racing environment with weather and day/night racing to boot. While neither can compare with iRacing on some levels, they don't require a subscription and that is important in my case.ĪC does bring some very exclusive content and detailed tracks that stand out if that's important. The driving dynamics are where they differ a lot as well as realism levels. AC and Pcars look great in VR and perform well IMO. I do find it to have - perhaps, the highest level of realism with excellent attention to detail in regard to race-car behavior and it certainly runs great in VR.ĪC's VR works great for most people it's not fully fleshed out yet but, more than functional and easy to setup and use in my experience. I've had several short-term sub's in iRacing and it's clearly the best online racing option to date but, doesn't suit my schedule so it's pretty much a hot-lapping title for me. I currently have all 3 titles but, my iRacing sub is short - mostly just to try VR.
